Lionel is fine. Yes, he survived what some people might consider traumatic, but he’s totally fine.

What does bother him is Lucifer, the Devil, who seems to have gotten a few things confused in his handsome head. For one thing, he’s one of the people who think Lionel should be traumatized (he isn’t,) for another, he’s acting very attached. Almost like the two of them are in a real relationship.

And yes, maybe Lionel wants that. At least he doesn’t not want it, but it doesn’t matter. Lucifer will soon get tired of him, and besides, Lionel is a necromancer and consultant for the police. Before long, he finds himself on a case that’s more baffling than anything he’s ever dealt with.

Devil Spooked (The Devil’s Necromancer Part Two) takes places after the events of Devil Bound and should be read in order.
